Good evening, Parents
Due to our increasing concerns about deadly weapons and firearms on EJSD campuses, we are adding an additional security measure for the safety of our students and staff.
Beginning on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, only CLEAR plastic/PVC/vinyl backpacks will be allowed on EJSD campuses and buses.
Also, contents of the backpacks must be visible and shall not be covered up or hidden by any other items, such as articles of clothing, drawstring/other type bags, boxes, containers, etc.
We understand this may pose a slight inconvenience, but the lives of our students/your children and our staff are our top priorities.
Thank you.
